Five Favourite Short Fics by Brutti Ma Buoni

Some writers just kept on bringing the good stuff in 2012, and brutti_ma_buoni is one of the chief among them. Whether long or short, her work is always varied and wonderful. Here are five of my favourites of her short fics. The first one, I only read for the first time a minute ago.

Ca Ira. Pre-series, set in the heady (or should that be headless?) days of the French Revolution, and featuring an OC Slayer and her lover, both with a way with words. PG-13. Written for femslash_minis.



The Road is Life. An AU BtVS season 5. What if Spike had stolen a Porsche instead of a Winnebago in Spiral. Dawn's POV. Spike/Buffy, PG. Written for sb_fag_ends.

First Nowell. Spike, Buffy and Angel celebrate their first Christmas together as an official threesome. PG.

Whispering Gallery. The last night before the final battle with the First Evil, seen from Giles's POV. Spike/Buffy, PG. Written for sb_fag_ends.

And last, but extremely not least, the incredible, amazing,

Earth Stood Hard. Set before The Trial in AtS season 2, a Wolfram & Hart functionary tracks down Drusilla in time to witness a very wintry horror. R.
