Top 5 Novels/Novellas Spike/Buffy

1. Bittersweets by herself_nyc - NC-17 - One of the first Spuffy stories I ended up reading, and what a treat to have a long story to dig into. Technically this is a series because there’s more than one novel’s worth already, and may also be a WIP because from time to time new stories get added to the verse. But the subject line was broad enough already! Time travel, generational angst, alternate universes, it has it all really.


2. That I May Cease to Be by cousinjean – Teen – I always enjoy stories that take place in William’s day and I found this one had an interesting plot and a great ending. Can’t ask for too much more than that.

3. Mr. William by pepperlandgirl4 - NC-17 – Long AU S/B smut. Not too often that comes along either I think. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the most unknown of recs but it was fun to never be sure where it was going.

4. More Than Strangers - by sadbhyl - NC-17 – Begun from a ficlet by peperlandgirl4, this story segued into an AU S/B tale of seduction gone awry, at least for Spike. And what else is new? I always thought this would make a great romance novel and it now is one.

5. The Last Summer by Annie Sewell-Jennings - NC-17 – Angst by the bucketload but the fact that it was a different sort of apocalypse made a lot of difference. That last scene stayed with me.

I love you for providing a working link to "More Than Strangers"! I used to have a copy saved, but my hard drive crashed a few months ago, and I thought it was gone from the internets.

It's not one I hear talked about that much so I'm glad to see someone else really enjoyed it too :>

And yay to something new! Well, with the Classic Recs things kind of depend on how long you've been around -- the veterans tend to reminisce about the items posted, the newbies have something to dig into! Although with so much out there chances are there's something new for everyone, especially if they're willing to explore a little.

About MR WILLIAM, I was actually wondering. I wanted to print the story out into a more readable format (the one given is filled with those little boxes like the html is messed up). Is there another link to the story? Or a link to a complete printable page of the story? I would really appreciate it!

If there is I'd be happy to see it myself. It's a rather imperfect set of links, I know, especially given the length of the story. I don't know of one but if you find it let me know as I'd be glad to change the link!
