Five Terrific Spillow Fics

Okay, I just thought I would share five Spillow fics that I have truly loved this year. No, this list is not comprehensive, but these five fics definitely represent the ship in superiour style!

1) Burn for Me by Em North (R): If you haven't been reading this fic, then you have not experienced what might be the best Spillow fic ever written. It's as simple as that. Em North is one of the finest writers around and her lengthy tale of mystical bonding becoming true friendship and, finally, love is an absolute masterwork. This author has a way of making you feel deeply that is truly profound! By the way, this is a WIP, so make sure and fb Em and let her know how very much you want more! Believe me, once you read this, you WILL want more!

2) So Many Steps to Death Series by [livejournal.com profile] kallie_kat (PG so far, but could change): This is a nifty new series that takes us AU post-Grave. What would have happened if Spike had gotten rid of his chip in Africa, rather than gaining his soul? And what does that have to do with Willow, who's in England after almost ending the world? Read this nifty little WIP and you'll find out! It's by the talented Kallie Rose, known here on LJ as [livejournal.com profile] kallie_kat, so you know it's a darn fine story!

3) Closer by [livejournal.com profile] purplefeen (NC-17): I am no fan of songfics, but this deliciously sexual and very moving story of Spike and Willow finding each other is good enough to make me forget that there are lyrics anywhere! And from me, that's a big compliment! Feen is one of the most highly-regarded Spillow erotica (yes, I said erotica, she's that good) authors around and this story will definitely tell you why she enjoys such a lofty reputation!

4) Forever Kind of Love by [livejournal.com profile] claudia6913 (R): Missy isn't writing solo too much anymore, preferring to co-author with [livejournal.com profile] cafedemonde (the two are known as [livejournal.com profile] writtenbyfates), but when she does, she writes wonderful stories. This is definitely a good example, a short, but not-so-sweet tale that exemplifies the old adage: Be Careful What You Wish For.

5) Happy New Year by [livejournal.com profile] elenorlaura (NC-17): This is one of the more lighthearted tales to come from the pen of the highly-touted Elen. And, given its subject matter, I thought it was the right tale to close this list off with. Willow, Spike, and alcohol combine to make for a very interesting New Year's Eve! I think you'll all enjoy this one.

Okey-dokey. That's my list. I hope you all find something on there to enjoy!
