Five favourite Buffyverse crossovers.

I like crossovers, and make no apology for it. Here are five completed favourites. For convenience I've gone for stories that are archived at Twisting The Hellmouth, home of the Buffyverse crossover, and Fanfiction.net, but in most cases you'll find the author on Livejournal too.

NB - edited to replace a couple that weren't posted in 2008.

The Return of the Key by curiouswombat - Dawn ends up in Middle Earth post the War of the Ring and finds love. Buffy is not happy about it.


Six Degrees of Connection by booster17 is a lovely story in which a photograph links five fandoms.

Plausible Deniability by dsample is another perspective on the classic West Wing crossover, Donna the Vampire Slayer by nomadicwriter - did the events of that story really go unnoticed?

The Hour of the Troll by speakr2customrs inserts Olaf the Troll into the Conan stories, with interesting results.

Finally, Serenity, Nevada by Christina K is a beautiful AU fusion of Firefly (sans spaceships) and BtVS, with the familiar characters in some unfamiliar roles in modern Nevada; Mal is sheriff, Inara is Mayor, and a musician called Oz is just passing through...



All of these authors have written several other good stories, I strongly recommend checking out all of their work.
