Some of my top favorite Xander stories/art for 2006

I'm not going to overlap some things I've already reced, or I'd include [livejournal.com profile] btvslover82, [livejournal.com profile] c_woodhaven and [livejournal.com profile] daedream_fanbot's stories with Xander in this list.

1. [livejournal.com profile] suki_blue's Teenage Dirtbag features a young first season 16 year-old Xander who meets up with an evil Spike. The pair form an unlikely friendship which slowly develops into passion. Most notable about this fic is the unhurried relationship and the wonderful Scooby moments. If you miss early Buffy, this is a fic that is most enjoyable.

2. [livejournal.com profile] suki_blue and [livejournal.com profile] amejisuto's long running collaboration has sprawled comfortably into 2006 and continues to be a delight whenever it's updated Grief Counseling. Spike and Xander are grieving the loss of Anya and Buffy after season five and slowly develop a bond. The story has a spread out and engaging cast of some of our favorite characters.

3. [livejournal.com profile] kitty_poker1's Dancing Fool gives proof that the author can write formidable spander. Not loud, flashy spander, but spander that is all about 'I like the quiet.' Check out Dancing Fool.

4. [livejournal.com profile] eyezrthewindows is known for her hot kink, but she can write very moving pathos as demonstrated with this recent S/X story Don't Move.

5. [livejournal.com profile] debart is one of the best manippers around and she turned her attentions recently to a second nude of Xander here. Not worksafe!

Excellent recs. That nude Xander is excellent. No way can you see the joins! You'd really think it was him.

Terrific recs, love, and thank you for including me. *hugs*

That manip really is very good indeed. Seamless and such well chosen pics.

Ah yes, I remember that manip of debart's, it's wonderfully done :> It seems to be a very Xander year really. S/X is still very popular and I noticed G/X and A/X seem to be getting more so as well. It'll be interesting to see what storyline he'll get in the new comics and how that may play into new fic ideas.

I have read the first three and they are splendid in every way! Great choices!!!

It was particularly great to see Kitty get rec'ed because, while she's well known as a beta, she's not as well known as a writer as she should be! And since I am not noted in the slash community, a rec from me carries a lot less weight than a rec from you!

Isn't rec'ing a treat? I love doing it myself. I need to do more today.

She sure is!

Yay! I cannot wait to see what you rec next! I think your taste is as good as your writing skills, and that's saying something!
