It's really interesting to me that you say you love Spander because they're equal (which I don't doubt they can be - actually, I should take your word for it since you've thought about them more than I probably ever will). I wonder if most ships would gravitate towards that when done well. It's certainly a big theme with Spuffy.

I've always thought that Spuffy and Spander are a bit similar especially when I read the fics because both Buffy and Xander had the same attitude towards Spike, though it's a bif different from Spike's side. Spander is like a S4 Spuffy happening. It's also interesting how a lot of Spuffy writers because Spander writers such as Anna S.
