buffyversetop5I can't top the Narwhal!verse (how did I not now about this?) but here are five fics that made the crackfic fan in me grin like a loon this year.
Based on a True Story by Oxnate. Mayor Richard Wilkins III isn't afraid of anything... but his shadow. Of all the werecreatures in the world, here's a hole I haven't seen anyone poke their head out of before.

shaladakiri. A young potential gets targeted by the Bringers. Fortunately, her best friend has a pet tiger. Calvin & Hobbes crossovers ftw!
Little Red Riding Hood by Steeleye. Willow and Kennedy settle down in a weird German town, with some rather intrusive wildlife. Will Willow's experience in dealing with wolves save the day? Willow/Kennedy.
Sunnydale to LA ~ via Huddersfield by DisViciousGirl. Angel gets hit by a spell and suffers a fate worse than death. Specifically... "You're a bloody YORKSHIREMAN!" Spike finally burst out.
There Was Never a Hope With Her by rhodrymavelyne. A comedy of errors and subtext readings. Scott Hope/Parker, Buffy/Faith (maybe).
